About La Academia: The Partnership Charter School

La Academia is a public charter school which opened in 1998 and is the only “brick and mortar” charter school in Lancaster and Lebanon Counties.  Enrollment is open to any student living in the county.

The school currently has an enrollment of 223 students in grades 6-12 during the 2018 – 2019 school year.

Several local community organizations partnered together to establish the school first charter in 1998 and included: SACA (Spanish American Civic Association), Neighborhood Services, the Urban League, Crispus Attucks, Community Action Programs.

The school offers a small school individualized program for students in Lancaster County from area school districts. Courses include Algebra I through Pre-Calculus, Spanish & Heritage Spanish, AP US History, AP English, Art, Technology, Music & all core subjects in English, Social Studies, & Science.

Junior & Senior students can take dual-enrollment classes at Harrisburg Area Community College & Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology.

26 seniors graduated in May 2017 and several of those students are in higher education including the following schools: Elizabethtown College, Kutztown University, Millersville University and Shippensburg University and Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology.

 In the fall of 2012, La Academia implemented a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) program through the Project Lead the Way program.

2018 marks La Academia’s 20th anniversary as it empowers students to be the best they can be!
