The Right-To-Know Law is Pennsylvania’s open records law. It requires government agencies in Pennsylvania, including LAPCS, to provide access to and copies of public records to the public.

The Right-To-Know Law provides that, upon receipt of a written Open Records Request, LAPCS must make a good faith effort to determine if the requested record is a public record, financial record, or legislative record and to respond as promptly as possible under the circumstances existing at the time of the request, and that this time shall not exceed five (5) business days from the date the written request is received by LAPCS’ Right-To-Know Officer.
