The LAPCS baseball program was founded in the fall of 2021, however the spring of 2023 was the program’s first season as a full member of the PIAA District III league in Class A. Our program began by the school community wanting to provide another choice of athletic teams for scholars to be able to express themselves and explore their passions. Athletics provide the opportunity to encourage scholars to maintain academic success in the classroom, as well as provide the potential for future collegiate academic and athletic participation.

There are several goals that we have for our baseball program. The first is to pursue excellence, not only in the game of baseball, but as well as academic performance within the classroom. Secondly, we want to provide each player with a safe environment and atmosphere that encourages mental, social, and emotional growth and maturity that can be later geared toward real-world applications. Lastly, we want to emphasize the importance of teamwork, good sportsmanship, and appropriate responses to success and adversity to help develop courageous leaders both on and off the baseball field.

The Lancaster Barnstormers allow LAPCS to practice and compete at their home field, Clipper Magazine Stadium, which has recently been named the #1 ballpark in America by Ballpark Digest. The Barnstormers annually donate to La Academia Baseball and are a promising partner for the future of LAPCS athletics!
