La Academia is pleased to announce the arrival of Mr Henley.
In May 2019, La Academia welcomed Mr. Tommy Henley as the new Principal and Head of School. Mr. Henley comes to us from the Riverbend Preparatory Academy in Laveen, Arizona where he served as Principal. Prior to that, Mr. Henley worked as the Bilingual / ELL Coordinator in the greater Chicago area, and a Spanish teacher and instructional leader with the Chicago public schools. Mr. Henley is passionate about urban education and eradicating the inequities experienced by traditionally underserved Latino youth.
